Why we cite everything

Pet care advice online tends to be confident and unsourced, which is how people end up following a formula invented by whoever wrote the page. Every calculator here names its source, shows the working, and states its limitations — including when the answer is weak. The puppy weight formula assumes steady growth, so the tool labels which reliability band your input falls in instead of showing false precision.

We do not diagnose or recommend treatments. Those need your pet’s body condition, history and a hands-on exam. Where something is urgent — a suspected poisoning, say — the tool tells you to contact a veterinarian rather than reassuring you on its own authority.
